From an early age, Alex Gruin has been captivated by wildlife and the outdoors. Growing up, his love for fishing naturally evolved into a deep passion for hunting, and over the years, that passion has led him across the country in pursuit of big game. Having lived in multiple states from the East Coast to the West, Alex has hunted in both resident and non-resident status, gaining firsthand experience navigating the complexities of hunting tags, applications, and planning.

Recognizing the high barrier to entry for western hunting, Alex founded East 2 West Hunts to help others simplify the process, maximize their opportunities, and save time in their application and hunt planning endeavors. There is nothing more rewarding to him than seeing someone experience the thrill of harvesting their first animal and watching their excitement turn into a lifelong pursuit.

Now residing in Michigan with his family, Alex embraces an outdoor lifestyle filled with hunting, fishing, camping, and hiking. He also prioritizes fitness and high-quality nutrition, believing that a strong body and mind are key components of hunting success. Through his work, he continues to share his knowledge and passion, helping hunters of all experience levels achieve their goals in the field.
